First commenced by Dr Craig Costello in 2012, North Queensland Neurology aims to provide quality, comprehensive neurological care to the diverse population of North Queensland.

Raised in the regional centre of Dubbo, Dr Craig Costello has always been passionate about addressing the problem of regional disparity in neurological services.

Aware of the limited provision of private neurological services in Townsville, Dr Costello and his wife Emma, planned and returned to Townsville (Emma’s home city) in 2012 along with their 4 young children to start his own comprehensive, consultative neurology practice – North Queensland Neurology.

North Queensland is a large geographic area ranging from: as far south as Sarina/Mackay; west to Mount Isa and north to the very top end of the State. It is made up of a culturally and socially diverse population with significant military, mining, farming, education and tourism industries attracting people to come visit and live in this tropical location. Additionally there is a large concentration of ageing population.
