Headaches can be a debilitating condition. Headaches affect almost everyone at some point in their lives.

Yet for those with headaches that are new, persistent, incapacitating or appear to be worsening; prompt medical attention and specialist referral, can help determine the cause.

Headaches are often a primary diagnosis (e.g. tension headache or migraine) rather than a symptom of another disease. By compiling a detailed history (as well as completing a series of investigations), Dr Costello can diagnose your headache condition and discuss management options

Chronic daily headache of migrainous origin affects approximately 2% of the population.  Therapeutic injections are now available on PBS for suitable patients who have headaches on most days and who have a diagnosis relating to migraines from a Neurologist.

  • Do you have a history of migraine headaches?
  • Do you suffer from headaches on most days?
  • Have previous treatments failed or been short-lived?
A referral for assessment and discussion of treatment options by Dr Costello, may improve your quality of life.
